Savannah- Rita S. McLaughlin died quietly at home Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
She was born September 26, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a resident of Bel Air, MD for 31 years and moved to The Landings in Savannah in 1990.
Mrs. McLaughlin is survived by her husband, Francis J. McLaughlin and 5 sons; Dr. Timothy McLaughlin and wife, Dr. Marian Kellner, Terence McLaughlin, Dennis McLaughlin, Matthew McLaughlin, Edward McLaughlin, and one daughter; Margaret McLaughlin and her husband, Michael Doran. She is also survived by four grandchildren. She is predeceased by one daughter, Elizabeth McLaughlin.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a devoted member of the St. James Catholic Church where she served as lector for twenty three years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2 at 11 am at St. James Catholic Church, 8412 Whitefield Ave, Savannah, GA 31406. A reception will follow in the church hall.
Burial will be private.
